A $7,500 boost from Heritage Bank has enabled Toowoomba disability support organisation Semloh Support Services to purchase a new trailer to help them assist vulnerable people in the community.
Thanks to a sponsorship from Heritage Bank, Semloh can now transport large equipment and support the home maintenance services they provide to clients.
Semloh Support Services Co-Director Ben Holmes said, “We provide a range of services to support National Disabilty Insurance Scheme (NDIS) members in the community. This includes providing supported employment opportunities, home maintenance, and assistance with daily living tasks.
“Our aim to provide outstanding services and empower vulnerable people to gain the necessary skills to be an active member of our community, and live a more inclusive and independent life.
“This support from Heritage means the world to us as it will make it a lot easier for our teams move 22 jobs, and provide opportunities to reach more people.”
Heritage Bank Clifford Gardens Branch Manager Katrina King said, “Like Heritage, the team at Semloh has an overarching culture centred on people. Ben, together with his wife Jess and the team, are changing people’s lives each and every day.
“It’s an absolute pleasure for Heritage to sponsor Semloh and support the important support services they provide.
“Our staff will also be a part of this by offering their own time to help clients tidy up their yards and gardens. It warms my heart that we have the opportunity to give back and be a part of their journey.”
