Heritage Bank boosts lending services through COVID with virtual appointments

Heritage Bank has introduced a new video call option to help COVID-impacted customers who are unable to attend their lending appointments in person.
This means those in the market for a home, personal or business loan can now get in touch with Heritage’s lending specialists virtually to help them with their queries.
Heritage Bank CEO Peter Lock said introducing virtual lending appointments allowed Heritage to maintain its personalised service through the disruptions of COVID lockdowns and restrictions.
Mr Lock said, “Since the start of the pandemic, video streaming and online technology has become an essential part in helping people stay connected and maintain a sense of normalcy.
“Virtual lending appointments are a convenient and easy alternative that allow us to continue answering people’s lending queries and help them with their applications when they can’t make it into a branch.
“We love the idea that our customers can still see the welcoming faces of their local lenders, from the comfort of their home, or a place of their choosing.”
Mr Lock said Heritage was continuing to adapt and ensure its people first approach remained at the forefront in the face of the impacts of COVID.
“We pride ourselves on our personalised service approach and we understand the value of being able to see who you are talking with, and building a genuine connection.
“Virtual lending appointments combine the power of digital and human experiences so we can meet the needs of our customers in a way that works best for them.”
Customers now have multiple ways they can apply for a Heritage Bank home, personal or business loan. These options include via a virtual lending appointment, face-to-face in-branch, by calling the 24/7 contact centre on 13 14 22 or by submitting a query online. All loan applications and documentation will be then processed as per Heritage's lending procedures.
