Be aware of an SMS scam where fraudsters are pretending to be from Heritage Bank requesting a response about an unusual transaction.

We’ve received reports of an impersonation scam via SMS – an example is pictured below.
Scammers are pretending to be Heritage Bank by sending an SMS reporting an unusual payment that has been detected. They then ask for a response to report if the transaction was authorised or not. This is then followed up with a call from a person impersonating Heritage Bank.
We encourage our members to Stop. Think. Challenge. to be on guard against scams.
Always check the authenticity of any unsolicited call, email or message claiming to be from Heritage. You can confirm if the communication is genuine by calling Heritage directly on 13 14 22 or emailing info@heritage.com.au.
If you are concerned about the security of your account, it’s very important you change ALL your Heritage Online passwords and call us immediately on 13 14 22.If you have been a victim of a scam, please report it to Heritage and your other financial institutions as soon as possible. Once you have done so, you can also report it to the ACCC via the report a scam page to help protect others from similar scams.
