Heritage Bank members can feel assured they are with a market leader after the bank was named in the list of Forbes’ World’s Best Bank 2023.
Heritage Bank merged with People’s Choice Credit Union on 1 March 2023 and both brands feature in the top 15 for financial institutions in Australia.
This is well-earned recognition of our ongoing commitment to the financial needs and goals of our combined 720,000 members.
World renowned Forbes Media and market research firm Statista surveyed 48,000 banking customers from 32 countries to identify the best of the best in each nation. Survey results were evaluated in categories such as digital services, customer service, trust and financial advice.
Heritage and People’s Choice CEO Peter Lock said he was proud that both brands have featured in the Forbes list.
“I am thrilled to see Heritage and People’s Choice earn places at the top of the Forbes World’s Best Banks list once again, as it is wonderful recognition of the excellent, competitively-priced products and personalised service that we offer our members,” Mr Lock said.
“What makes this recognition fitting is that it comes as we combine the best of two successful organisations into one new brand that will be Australia’s leading customer-owned bank, and one that will be a genuine mutual alternative to the big banks.”
The top three Australian banks on the Forbes list for 2023 are customer-owned.
“It’s no coincidence that customer-owned banks feature at the top of the Forbes list,” Mr Lock said.
“People have a more satisfying experience dealing with banks that are focused on delivering for customers, rather than shareholders like the big listed banks.
“Heritage and People’s Choice is proudly committed to its customer-owned ethos and we are building our new organisation based on our purpose of creating a better future for our members and communities.”
