Heritage Bank has bolstered its CBD presence today consolidating its Brisbane offices at a prime riverfront location, next to the historic Customs House.
Heritage announced the move to merge its Brisbane offices in April after signing a lease on 1157 sqm on Level 3 of 175 Eagle Street, as well as taking up naming rights for the building.
The bank has now closed its offices at 80 Petrie Terrace in Milton, and on Level 14 at 307 Queen Street in the CBD. Staff based at those offices will now work out of the new Eagle St tenancy.
Importantly, the bank’s Head Office will remain in Toowoomba. Heritage’s CBD branch at 307 Queen Street will also remain in its existing location.
CEO Peter Lock said the opportunity to revaluate the locations of its Brisbane offices offered many advantages for Heritage, particularly moving into the post-COVID environment.
“We’re looking at things from different perspectives to adapt to the needs of the business and continue to meet and exceed the expectations of our members,” Mr Lock said.
“Aside from providing cost savings and a larger, united office space for our teams in Brisbane, the tenancy has also been fitted out to cater for a hybrid working model.
“Our people proved the success of working from home during COVID and many of our office staff have continued this by working a mix of days at home, and in the office.
“The new space makes use of bookable hot desks, rather than permanent desks allocated to individuals. This allows flexibility of work spaces for our people whether they’re based in Brisbane, or visiting, and supports an enhanced work life balance.”
The space will also have a boardroom, a large function room, multiple meeting rooms and a staff break room.
