Why update?

What's new?

  • We've made some changes to the look and feel
  • Create and Edit payees (without having to pay them)
  • Emoji for payees support
  • Ability to create scheduled payments within the app

Updating your browser or operating system is highly recommended to provide the best experience when using Heritage Online and our Mobile Banking App.

Newer browsers and operating systems are often safer and offer security features, such as warning you before you visit websites that have been reported as malicious. This means that your online information - including your internet banking details - is safer when using an up-to-date browser or operating system.

We do not officially support operating systems and browsers other than those listed below. You may be able to successfully access Heritage Online using Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and other browsers. However, Heritage does not provide technical advice or support for older operating systems and they may not receive the latest security protections.

Session Cookies

A cookie is a text string that is saved into a file on your computer and is used by websites so that they remember who you are. A cookie cannot search your computer or look in other files – it is simply a text file.

What is stored in a cookie?

Usually a cookie will contain a random set of characters that tells a website that your browser has visited that website before. Sometimes a cookie can contain personal information, but it only contains information that you have given to that website, and it is always encrypted.

Cookies and Heritage Online

Heritage Online requires a session cookie. A session cookie is a cookie that is maintained only while you are accessing the website you're on.

It is not stored on your PC’s hard disk, and simply resides in memory for the duration of your Heritage Online session. It is used to maintain a single session between your browser and Heritage Online. No private or financial information is stored in this cookie.

When you log out of Heritage Online or close your browser, the cookie disappears.

How do you allow cookies?

You need to adjust your browser settings to at least allow session cookies. If you do not want to allow cookies in general, then most browsers allow you to enable cookies for particular sites only, while permitting you to still block them for all other sites. We suggest simply adding the Heritage sites to your trusted sites in your browser.

How do you clear cookies?

If you need to, you can clear cookies easily by following the steps available on your relevant browsers website. Select the browser you are using below to learn how to clear cookies.

Javascript

Heritage Online uses Javascript and you will need this enabled when accessing this site.

Pop-up Blockers

A pop-up blocker can block unwanted and often annoying windows and panels from displaying when you browse a website. However, sometimes links that you want to open can get blocked. If this happens when you are attempting to access Heritage Online or other parts of the website you may need to turn off your pop-up blocker temporarily or adjust your settings to allow the site to open pop-ups.
